It All Begins Here

Your Questions, Answered

  • Not at all. Saracens Touch Rugby welcomes players of all abilities — complete beginners, former rugby players, experienced Touch players, everyone! Our sessions are designed to help you learn the fundamentals of Touch Rugby in a supportive environment, so you can build confidence and develop your skills at your own pace.

  • Touch Rugby is a minimal-contact version of rugby union. Instead of tackling, players make a “touch” on the opposition to stop play. The game focuses on speed, agility, teamwork, and skill, making it fast-paced, inclusive, and accessible to a wide range of ages and abilities.

  • We are a mixed and inclusive club open to people of all genders and playing backgrounds. Whether you’re looking to compete, stay fit, meet new people, or return to rugby in a non-contact format, there’s a place for you at Saracens Touch Rugby.

  • All you need is comfortable sportswear, suitable trainers or boots (depending on the surface), and a water bottle. We recommend bringing layers in colder weather. If you’re unsure about footwear, just get in touch and we’ll advise based on our training venue.

To ensure the safety of all players, we only allow moulded stud boots to be worn. Please do not wear metal or removeable studded boots.

  • Both. We pride ourselves on balancing competitive ambition with a strong social and community culture. We take part in leagues and tournaments for those who want to compete, while also ensuring sessions remain welcoming, enjoyable, and development-focused for everyone.

  • We train twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:00pm – 8:00pm.

Please note that training venues & times may occasionally change depending on weather conditions and pitch availability. We recommend contacting us before attending to confirm the latest venue details.

  • We are very conscious of our safeguarding responsibilities. Under 16s may attend training at the discretion of the coaches and if a parent is also taking part. Anyone over 16 but under 18 may attend training provided a parent has completed a parental agreement form.
