Our History
AUGUST 2013: IN THE BEGINNING…
Saracens Sports Foundation, The City Bridge Trust and Barnet Council offer free “low pace” Community Touch Rugby to local residents aged 50+ Subsequent formation of Saracens Touch Rugby, playing at Allianz Park (now The StoneX Stadium) and Mill Hill RFC every Friday evening.
2015: FIRST TOUR 🏉
Our first international tour takes us to Dublin in 2015. Subsequent annual tours to the likes of France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Belgium follow.
JULY 2020: ETA MEMBER
We become a member club of the England Touch Association for the first time.
OCTOBER 2020: BRAMLEY ROAD
We begin training at Saracens ARFC, leading to us offering two training sessions a week, Wednesday evenings at Bramley Road and Friday evenings at Mill RFC/ StoneX Stadium.
DECEMBER 2024: ERDS
To provide competitive Touch for some of our younger players, we play in the Midlands Eastern Region Development Series for the first time. We complete our first full ERDS season in 2025/26, finishing 8th overall.
JULY 2025: HOUSE OF HOPE 7s
Touch is introduced to the prestigious House of Hope 7s Tournament for the first time as we host a 6 team competition.
FEBRUARY 2022: MASTERS LEAGUE
We launch a local Mixed Masters League for men 35+ and women of any age. The League continues to grow, both in terms of playing numbers and standard of play.
2023: 10 Year ANNIVERSARY
We host an 8 team tournament at the StoneX Stadium in celebration of our 10th anniversary.
2024: WOMEN’s TOURNAMENT
We host our first ever Women’s Tournament at Bramley Road, with 4 teams competing. This increases to 10 teams in 2025 as we continue to promote female participation in our sport.
